Job Details:

Work in a 32-bed surgical unit specializing in medical-surgical care
Must have surgical experience caring for patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery

RN patient ratios: 4:1 on day shifts and 5:1 on night shifts

Expected to float to other units as needed
On-call responsibilities required
Must have experience with chest tubes, various tubes, and drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone
Required experience with lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
Must be comfortable caring for patients with trachs/laryngectomies
Telemetry monitoring experience required
Experience with complex wound care necessary
Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws required
Common patient diagnoses include ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, and sepsis
Unit shares LNA resources with PCU (ratios 1:7-11)
