Job Description
As a Solar Service Technician at EMT Solar & Roofing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our solar energy systems. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing solar panel systems, inverters, and associated components. Your expertise will help us maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and contribute to the growth of renewable energy adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar panel systems to identify any issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems with solar energy systems.
Replace and repair faulty components, including solar panels, inverters, wiring, and connectors.
Conduct performance tests to ensure systems are operating at peak efficiency.
Keep accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and parts used.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain service findings and recommend solutions.
Work safely and adhere to all industry and company-specific safety guidelines.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical education is a plus).
Previous experience in solar installation, service, or related fields is preferred.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions.
A valid driver's license.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
