    Position Description

    This part-time project manager position reports to the director of global learning and serves as primary logistical support for prospective, new, and continuing international students as well as students studying abroad.

    Essential Functions

    1. Tracks and prepares reports regarding international student status from inquiry through enrollment using customer relationship management (CRM) system.
    2. Assists in the recruitment of international students through regular communication using automated CRM-generated messaging, email, texting, zoom, social media, etc.
    3. Advises students, agents, parents, coaches, and others through the international admissions process and gathers all required documents to prepare applicant files for review.
    4. Serves as a liaison between global learning and admissions to ensure timely review and decision-making.
    5. Assists international students through onboarding, organizing pre-departure and international student orientation sessions.
    6. Manages and/or operates transportation for arrivals, departures, banking services, medical care, worship, employment, shopping, etc. for international students.
    7. Prepares reports to monitor international student retention factors such as bill pay, grades, registration, etc.
    8. Meets regularly with international students to support their engagement with campus life and referral to resources as needed.
    9. Assists in conducting current student surveys and exit briefings.
    10. Fosters connection to community organizations and individuals as part of the Global Friendship Program.
    11. Assists in preparing students, faculty members, and parents for study abroad experiences through info sessions, document tracking, and the creation of travel dossiers.
    12. Assists with JCC's annual observance of International Education Week.
    13. Collaborates on fund-raising efforts supporting JCC Global Scholarships.
    14. Serves as a designated school official (DSO) for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
    15. Regular attendance.
    16. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    A Bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal/human relations and problem-solving skills, commitment to providing excellent customer service, attention to detail, multi-cultural sensitivity, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Strong public speaking, administrative, and organizational skills are also essential. Ability to function with minimal supervision is required.

    A Master's degree, experience working with individuals of diverse cultures in higher education, and proficiency in a second language are preferred.

    Additional Information

    The hourly salary range is $21.56-$25.70. Excellent benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and NYS retirement, are available. Final candidates are subject to a pre-employment criminal background investigation. Please note that Jamestown Community College does not sponsor H-1B Visas.
