    • Export / Import daily operations
    • Airport runs, for documents or other assistance
    • Domestic transport operations
    • Paperwork / documentation issuing

    Job Summary: In this role you will be assisting your team with the shipments as well as providing excellent customer service. Both air and ocean positions in import & export departments are available.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist your team to build the most effective transportation plan.
    • Assist your team with collecting charges and providing quotes to customers for their shipments.
    • Work independently or with the team to secure rates from the airlines and shipping lines.
    • Assist your team to place bookings with carriers.
    • Keep track of carriers' and terminals' schedules.
    • Secure drayage carriers and trucking companies for pick up and deliveries, and communicate critical deadlines to them.
    • Schedule loading/unloading and monitor completion.
    • Meet documentation deadlines.
    • Prepare pre-alerts for agent and customers.
    • Monitor and track all milestones with shippers, carriers, ports, and customers.
    • Support sales efforts with timely responses to rate requests.
    • Close files, issue invoices and provide the accounting department with proper and correct billing information.
    • Maintain SOP and companies' policies.
    • Evaluate risks and provide Insurance when quoting out to customer or agents.
    • Keep customers up to date with the progress.
    • Manage all processes to ensure client satisfaction.

    DESIRABLE SKILLS:

    • Some computer experience (company will provide training for the shipping program)
    • Customer service skills
    • No freight forwarding experience required
    • Willingness to learn ocean and air import - export processes
    • Willingness to support the team to submit customs entry documents
    • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)
