    Temp to hire
    Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (DC office), 8:30am-5pm (MD office) will be required to work rotating Saturdays: 8am-12pm (not every week)

    Requirements:

    • Medical Assistant certification a plus
    • At least 2-4 years of medical administrative/front desk experience
    • Experience working in an outpatient medical office
      • Experience working in pediatrics a plus
    • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
    • EMR experience
      • Experience with ECW a plus
    • Strong technical computer skills (MS Word/Excel/Power Point)
    • A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Team oriented approach that could include working at the DC or Maryland site
    • Schedule appointments in eCW electronic medical record.
    • Register patients and enter demographic information into medical record and verify and correct patient data where necessary
    • Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors including monitoring persons who enter the clinic and controlling access to sensitive areas
    • Monitor the noise/activity level of the lobby areas and de-escalate conflict
    • Consistently demonstrates appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers, and coworkers. Cooperates with Management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
    • Assists management in enforcing safety regulations and maintaining a clear understanding of the agency emergency codes and response to each code.
    • Greet clients as they enter the lobby and assist with service area kiosk check-in
    • General clerical duties scanning, photo copying, faxing, mailing, completing registration packets etc.
    • Adhere to agency policy and procedures, maintain data integrity and abide by Patient Rights, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Standards.
    • Attend relevant meetings to support overall program implementation and growth.
    • Attend training and learning opportunities that expand content knowledge and best practices.
    • Other duties as assigned
