Typical assignments include farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks.Prioritizing duty locations can impact pay rates - locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some areas than others. A fully trained BPA may qualify for up to an additional 25% base salary as per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014. The role progresses through grade levels GL-5/GL-7/9/GS-11/12 after completing each level successfully within specified time frames.
BPA agents are entitled to participate in various federal benefits including health insurance plans dental insurance thrift savings retirement programs generous annual leave sick leave accounts participation in internal affairs procedures . Up to $60K recruitment retention incentives available upon appointment/between first four years respectively
