The Role

The AV Operations Coordinator (tactical response team) is a frontline operations leader responsible for helping plan, launch, and stabilize manual and future supervised AV test operations across multiple markets.

This role combines hands on in field operations, operator training and onboarding, and cross functional coordination with engineering, incident response, and vendor partners to safely deliver high quality data and reliable operations at scale.

What You'll Do

Operational Procedures & Execution

Serve as the SME in new markets and new program launches (e.g., manual data collection and supervised operations in new cities).

Support the development and refinement of executable operational procedures and checklists that ensure safe, ongoing garage operations for AVTO launch activities.

Document, communicate, and implement safe driving procedures including vehicle preparation, cleaning, charging, and deployment tasks.
Assist in documenting and rolling out operational procedures related to AVTO activities, emphasizing consistency, safety, and operational readiness.
Train new AVTO hires on fleet safety protocols and safe driving practices.

Continuous Improvement

Identify operational issues, inefficiencies, or gaps and contribute to solutions through updated procedures and improved workflows.
Support ongoing operational efficiency initiatives by helping drive improvements from initial identification through successful implementation.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with fleet management and other internal teams to support end‑to‑end safe and efficient operational execution.
Communicate operational updates, issues, and recommendations clearly and confidently across diverse stakeholder groups.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Experience in vehicle operations management, operations planning, project coordination, or related work within a fast‑paced startup or technology environment
Ability to travel at least 75% of the time within the US
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally
Tenacious teammate with a bias toward action and a continuous improvement mindset
Must be resilient and adaptable, and view challenges as opportunities to learn and grow

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree
