    Position Summary
    The Engineering Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment, working closely with Production teams to ensure that electrical systems are functioning efficiently and safely.


    Responsibilities and Essential Duties

    • Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatuses, and fixtures.
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents to determine the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve electrical issues.
    • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment or electrical systems.
    • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity of electrical systems.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Identify and rectify potential electrical hazards.
    • Stay informed about electrical code changes and updates.
    • Work closely with production teams to understand their electrical needs and provide necessary support.
    • Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering staff to address broader manufacturing issues.
    • Maintain accurate records of all electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
    • Create and update documentation for electrical systems and procedures.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems.
    • Stay informed about new technologies and trends in the field.

    Technical Skills Required

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent understanding of electrical safety protocols.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication skills.

    Experience Required

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems.
    • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Electrician or similar role preferred.
    • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
    • Valid electrician's license preferred.
    • Any additional certifications related to electrical systems are a plus.

    Physical Requirements

    • Lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, walking and standing for long periods of time
    • Squatting, bending, and climbing (use of a ladder)
    • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

    • Incumbent is subject to other hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, and heat
