Medical Receptionist for Primary Care - Macomb, MI

- We are currently only considering experienced applicants for this role.
Our busy Primary Care & Urgent Care clinic is located on the corner of 23 Mile & Card Rd. We see 20–35 patients daily across Primary Care, Urgent Care, Weight Loss, and Telemedicine visits.
Clinic Hours:
Open 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM daily
Position Type:
- 20-32 hours per week
- Ability to pick up extra shifts
- We offer 12-hour, 8-hour, and 4-hour shifts (primarily hiring for 12-hour shifts)
- Paid hourly, biweekly
- Competitive wages for the area
- Start date: Mid/Late February
Requirements
MUST have related experience as a Front Desk Receptionist
Strong customer service and communication skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced medical office environment
Professional, friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented
Duties Include
- Accurate insurance verification
- Collecting payments and co-pays
- Patient registration and check-in/check-out
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Prior authorizations
- Communicating with billing staff
- Calling patients regarding results and follow-ups
- Checking balances and prior visits using CollaborateMD
- Monitoring clinic email and patient messages
- Supporting back-office staff when needed
- Providing a friendly, welcoming experience to every patient
EMR / Systems
- We use EPIC EMR
- Training will be provided on all systems and workflows
