    We are currently seeking a high caliber Instructional Designer for a long-term basis within our client's team of experienced professionals.

    Based in Greenville, SC.

    Instructional Designer
    Long term contract - flexible part time hours
    Greenville, SC


    We are seeking an Instructional Designer to provide course design capability with subject matter experts in our technical and functional disciplines.

    The Instructional Designer will partner with SMEs to develop highly engaging and effective technical/functional courses.

    The successful candidate will possess a unique combination of project management, analytical, creative, and consultative skills with a strong background in technical writing, curriculum development, and application of adult learning principles.

    Experience in the EPC industry is preferred, including experience in Engineering, Project Controls, Estimating or Project Management.

    Responsibilities of this key position will include:

    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions primarily in core technical/functional disciplines (e.g., Engineering, Project Management, Estimating, and Project Controls).
    • Develop and oversee instructional design projects in collaboration with a team
    • Lead the development of innovative designs in learning
    • Determine the best adult learning modalities for programs
    Basic Job Requirements

    • Accredited two to four year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty (10) years if non-degreed.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to technical subject matter experts, management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
    • Technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
    • Ability to attend to detail and work in a schedule-driven environment.
    • Knowledge and application of adult learning principals and ADDIE model
    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced degree or global equivalent in Instructional Design for Adult Learners and Technical degrees such as Engineering or Project Management.
    • Experience with needs analysis, designing, building and delivering training programs to a wide variety of audiences
    • Knowledgeable of and ability to apply theories and concepts of adult learning and development including the use of technology
    • Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects
    • Proficient in e-learning software Adobe Captivate and or Articulate Storyline
    • Not required but knowledge of Leaderguide Pro is a plus
    • Ability to develop and maintain solid, effective relationships with internal customers
    • Knowledge of technologies used in the delivery of training
    • Ability to function independently with strong decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Certification in various leadership, management, and professional training programs
