Under the general supervision of the Patient Services Supervisor, interacts daily with patients, insurance carriers, and staff members; provides information in response to inquiries; assists in resolving problems regarding services, insurance claims, and billing questions


Education/Experience Requirements:
High School graduate (or GED equivalent)1 year prior medical office registration or billing experience required; physician practice setting preferredPossess general understanding of medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 codingComprehend government and third part billing regulationsDisplay proficient use of Microsoft office applications, able perform internet navigation and use a variety of information systems to conduct tasksAble to operate general office equipment, including but not limited to: adding, facsimile, photocopy, printing, and scanning devicesDemonstrate empathetic and effective communication and problem solving skillsAble to handle complaints and unpleasant conversations with a calm demeanor
