- Current RN license in the state of Alabama;
- 2 years clinical experience relative to the assigned unit(s) of responsibility;
- Demonstrated clinical competencies at the mastery level in one or more advanced competency areas within the division;
- Minimum one-year charge nurse experience;
- Certification in specialty area OR completion of certification as soon as candidate meets all eligibility requirements as stipulated by the certifying board.
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree OR Documentation of acceptance/enrollment in a BSN program with successful completion of the degree within 3 years from date of hire;
- Professional membership Preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of various educational levels via written and verbal formats;
- Experience utilizing intranet/extranet and e-mail.
- Successful completion of courses in Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, as determined by clinical area of responsibility;
- Successful course completion in Basic Cardiac Life Support;
- Successful course completion of institutional Intermediate EKG Course
