    Assistant Coach - Quality Control Special Teams

    Description

    The Assistant Coach, Quality Control position involves developing, supporting, and promoting the strategic and operational aspects of intercollegiate student-athlete programs at the College of the Holy Cross. This role collaborates closely with position coaches under the direction of the head coach or director of operations. The responsibilities include breaking down opponent's schemes, analyzing strengths and weaknesses, creating detailed reports, practice plans, game plans, playbooks, game books, and participating in recruiting activities. The role also involves providing recommendations on game strategies and position details during practice and games, while ensuring compliance with relevant athletic associations and university regulations.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Prepare, analyze, and breakdown video footage from practices, games, and opponents' games for review by the coaching staff and student-athletes.
    • Study opponent's game plans and schemes, analyze data, chart tendencies to enhance practice and game preparations.
    • Evaluate athletes' skills, review performance records, and identify opponents' strengths and weaknesses.
    • Identify pre-game and in-game opponent's personnel assignments, assist with game day call sheets.
    • Create playbooks for specific areas (offense, defense, special teams) in collaboration with position coaches.
    • Work with coaching staff during the off-season to plan and implement team philosophies.
    • Research and prepare scouting reports for potential student-athletes, oversee on-campus recruitment and evaluation.

    Minimum Qualification Requirements

    This position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of coaching experience at the high school level or higher. Prior graduate student or intern roles can be considered as experience. Professional coaching experience may substitute degree requirements. This is a part-time position with an exempt level of 10 hours per week over 8 months in spring/fall terms.
