Job Summary:

The Flight Dynamics Software Engineer position requires a motivated and proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic prototyping environment. Your responsibilities will involve designing, developing, integrating, testing, and documenting software for flight simulator dynamic models across various aviation platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, integrate, test, and document flight simulator software for flight dynamics models
Create and execute flight test data collection plans
Develop Qualification Test Guide tests and documentation for validation
Participate in customer acceptance and regulatory qualification processes
Stay updated on aviation industry regulations (FAA, EASA, ICAO)
Collaborate with diverse engineering teams and aircraft experts
Recommend enhancements to simulator designs
Conduct hardware/software integration and testing
Provide input for software/hardware improvements
Research and analyze data to evaluate design feasibility

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in flight simulation industry
Understanding of longitudinal and lateral-directional flight dynamics
Knowledge of aircraft systems and aerodynamic models
Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Linux/Unix, and Shell scripting
General piloting and flight testing knowledge is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Willingness to travel up to 25% annually
