    Staff Nurse - Bridge Program - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry

    Full-time position available on the night shift, with a rotating every 3rd weekend schedule.

    Job Summary

    The Staff Nurse - Bridge Program - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry provides high-quality patient care to patients in the PCU/Telemetry unit. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Care Planning and Implementation: Develops and implements individualized plans of care for patients, incorporating assessment data, goals, and interventions.
    • Medication Administration: Administers medications accurately and safely, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
    • Nursing Assessment and Documentation: Conducts comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments, documents findings, and updates plans of care as needed.
    • Patient Education: Provides education to patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Works effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
    • Quality Improvement: Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and improve nursing practice.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the State of Maryland.
    • Experience: One year previous experience in Med/Surg Nursing within the past five years.
    • Certifications: Current ACLS required for Telemetry and Observation nurses, Current CPR/BLS is required.
