Sales Manager for metal fabrication and machining business - San Jose, United States - JL Precision
Description
Well established metal fabrication and machining business is seeking to add an experiencedSales Manager .
The ideal candidate is professional and detail-oriented with a strong metal fabrication/manufacturing background and the desire and aptitude to sell.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary customer contact and strive for client success and satisfaction.
Build positive relationships with customers and promote new and repeat business opportunities.
Seek new customer opportunities through prospecting and cold calling.
Review customer RFQ's and specifications and evaluate for vendor selection.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand the customer requirements and determine the manufacturing processes required to produce the required product(s).
Perform contract review on all new customer purchase orders.
Monitor the status of all open purchase orders and expedite to ensure on time delivery.
Support the company with other duties & assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with fabrication, machining, welding, and finishing
Experienced in account / customer management.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to independently problem solve and effectively work directly with customers.
Excellent problem-solving skills and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Minimum of two years of account management
Hands on (in a shop setting) working in metal fabrication
Two Years in metal fabrication sales and estimating
