LOCATION - Grand Rapids, MI
TERM - Permanent
SALARY- $90,000 - $120,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client – a manufacturer of Machinery and Automated Production Systems is on the lookout for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a Direct Hire basis in Grand Rapids, MI.
Those with strong experience in working through full project lifecycles for Automated Production Machinery within Food and Beverage, Slitting / Converting or Palletization Machinery will be of particular interest.
BS, MS qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar
Strong proficiency in PLC Programming using Allen-Bradley / Rockwell packages.
Electrical Panel Design experience.
Hands on Installation / Commissioning experience.
Experience within an R&D / product development department.
Industry background working on Projects within process or food and beverage manufacturing sectors.
Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
The Control System Engineer's role will involve:
Design and Development of Automated Production systems for new and existing clients.
Programming PLCs for the control of Conveyors, Robots, and Machinery (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell).
Working on Motion Control Systems, Servo Drives, and VFDs.
Ensuring compliance with directives and standards of systems throughout the Design process.
Assessment of customer requirements and delivery of bespoke products to given specifications
Taking part in Design Review Meetings.
Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks and projects as required.
