- Coordinate light duty placement for employees by reviewing healthcare professionals' limitations and restrictions, and developing tailored return-to-work plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, HR Personnel, and the Company Workers Compensation team, fostering open communication to monitor progress and compliance with the light duty program.
- Collaborate with the Company Return to Work Specialist and ADA Department to adhere to corporate guidelines for permanent restrictions processes.
- Offer continuous support and guidance to employees throughout their return-to-work process, advocating for reasonable accommodations and promoting understanding among team members.
- Maintain regular communication with injured workers to ensure their understanding of the workers' compensation process.
- Promote the use of Third Party Administrators' self-service tools to enhance understanding and connectivity with claims professionals.
- Keep accurate records of return-to-work communications, results, and deviations from established processes.
- Conduct regular training sessions with associated departments to ensure understanding of the workers' compensation process, company policies, procedures, and Third Party Administrator expectations.
- Ensure accurate documentation of lost time for OSHA reporting, collaborating with the return-to-work team at Corporate.
- Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned by the Risk Director, Director of Worker's Compensation, VP of Risk Management, and other department leaders, contributing to the enhancement of the overall Risk Management program.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ Years of Prior Experience in Claims, HR, Payroll, or Risk Management
- Background in ADA
- Being able to work on confidential information
- Background with OSHA reporting
- Worked previously with a Claims Management System, (5 Sigma is a plus)

THE JOB:
The Workers' Compensation Specialist position is to manage and facilitate the smooth transition of employees back into the workplace following a work accident. They will analyze trends, communicate and strategize with various departments to provide a proactive approach to address underlying issues contributing to workplace injuries while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and requirements.
