    As a Data Platform Engineer with an agile mindset you will contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale, critical, and complex data architecture, storage, and pipelines.

    You will build enterprise distributed data processing systems and data lakes, optimizing both computational and storage efficiencies on cloud platforms.

    You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.

    You have at least 2 years of experience in cloud-first design, preferably AWS (VPC, Serverless databases and functions, dynamic autoscaling, container orchestration, etc.) with coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as: Python, Java, Go etc.

    Your background includes a minimum of 2 years' experience in data architecture and databases such as SQL and DDD/ER/ORM design (i.e. MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL). You also write and optimize advanced SQL queries with large-scale, complex datasets.
    You've implemented big data processing technologies like Hadoop, Apache Spark, Databricks etc.
    You're interested in, and curious about emerging technologies on the web like GraphQL, web assembly, Lambda functions, MLaaS etc.
    You have considerable technical and analytical abilities with business acumen and leadership skills. You're ready to transfer your knowledge and be a valued resource to others.

    Southern California Base Salary Range:
    $103,977-$166,363


    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
