    The Relationship Manager I (RMI) plays a crucial role in managing and retaining a book of business comprised of personal & commercial customers typically exceeding $750K. This involves fostering a highly dedicated professional relationship with each customer to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their financial situation. Collaboration with product specialists such as trust officers, wealth advisors, etc., is necessary for integrating solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develops new client business leveraging external knowledge of target markets in LATAM.
    • Assesses customer goals and needs, providing tailored advice on banking products, including deposits and lending.
    • Remains up-to-date on various financial products, including investments and trusts, to deliver informed advice and optimize cross-selling opportunities.
    • Utilizes available tools and applications to craft and present proposals aligned with clients' objectives and needs.
    • Coordinates client meetings with product specialists to facilitate the sale of products and services.
    • Integrates and delivers proposals jointly with different areas and units within the bank and its subsidiaries.
    • Identifies potential customer issues and escalates them to the relevant units, ensuring timely resolution while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
    • Obtains continuous feedback from customers and addresses quality concerns within the team to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction.
    • Participates actively in required training programs, focusing on personal, corporate, and business line development.
    • For FINRA-licensed RMI's, maintains licenses in good standing by adhering to firm and regulatory policies, completing required trainings, and raising awareness about potential issues impacting license status or the firm's reputation.
    • Stays current on market news and events through diligent reading and research of financial media.
    • FINRA-licensed RMI's must also engage in ongoing education, attending scheduled courses, trainings, and product meetings to enhance general investment and product knowledge.
    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records for each relationship, supporting business development and BSA/AML purposes.
    • Establishes regular communication channels with customers to review planned strategies and execution.
    • Develops an understanding of overall customer profitability and evaluates how pricing proposals may impact risk-adjusted returns going forward.
    • Gains insight into the group's diverse products and services offered across multiple units.
    • Monitors global market trends and communicates their implications on customers' financial situations.
    • Collaborates with various teams to develop and deliver integrated proposals.
    • Ensures customer satisfaction by soliciting feedback and identifying quality concerns within the team.
    • Addresses customer complaints, tracking resolution until the issue is fully resolved.
    • Reports any risks to earnings or capital arising from nonconformance with laws, regulations, internal policies, or ethical standards to immediate supervisors.
    • Reviews anti-money laundering activity reports, investigates unusual account activity, and verifies explanations from customers as needed, escalating problems to supervisors.
    • Responds promptly to BSA/AML inquiries, prepares annual certifications of high-risk accounts, and completes assigned compliance training.
    • Enforces preventive measures to ensure full compliance with current rules, regulations, and internal policies related to BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and other AML-related matters.

    Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or JD/Law Degree. FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 are desirable, while a master's degree or other recognized professional certification like TEP, CFA, or CFP is preferred.

    Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

    At least 8 to 12 years of experience managing a book of business primarily serving international customers in LATAM.

    Essential Knowledge and Skills:

    Fluency in English and Spanish. Proficiency in using financial systems and applications. Strong interest in capital markets and advanced financial knowledge. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a professional image and ability to conduct effective meetings. Good understanding of industry regulations.
