- Prepare and organize accurate and timely patient files.
- Coordinate the care of assigned patients and communicate patient status and concerns with the treatment team accordingly.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create patient treatment plans following State OTP regulations.
- Minimum age requirement of 18.
- Must hold a LCDC-I license in the state of Texas.
- Required or maintained state trainee status, intern, registration, or in training standing.
- Previous experience with opiate addicted population.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Skilled in conducting assessments, utilizing ASI criteria for appropriate patient placement, treatment plan development and implementation, service coordination, and crisis intervention.
- Proficient in documentation and computer skills.
- Knowledge of local community drug trends, effects on the body and cognitive functioning of drugs of abuse, signs and symptoms of narcotic overdose, psychosocial implications of addictive disease, the process of addiction and treatment, social service, economic, legal, and medical systems, HIV transmission-health, behavioral, and emotional implications of addiction.
- Ability to work effectively within a medical hierarchy, assist in complex problem-solving with clients, and work autonomously.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse population and provide exceptional customer service.
- Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
