Job Summary

The Medical Records Clerk will be responsible for managing and organizing patient health records.

This position requires handling a large volume of medical records requests for the breast imaging and obtaining priors. Must keep track medical records files and prior exams.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain breast imaging priors
• Processes medical record requests received by interoffice mail, fax, US Mail, Email, and personal serve from copy services.
• Follow all HIPAA regulations
• Keep track on birad files
• Send out radiology imaging reports to patients.

Experience:

• 1 year of medical records experience, preferred
• Knowledge of HIPPA and confidentiality laws
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of extremely sensitive and confidential patient information
• Must excel in communication (written & verbal), customer service and can work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficient in computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Must excel in prioritization, organization and multi-tasking while demonstrating attention to detail and follow though.
