Job summary
The University of Iowa Health Care department of Family Medicine seeks a Physician Assistant to perform direct patient care including diagnostic and therapeutic services with physician supervision.
The physician assistant will assist in educating healthcare students, residents, and fellows as they rotate through the respective departments and divisions.
Provide care responsibilities as directed by a supervising physician.
Obtain medical history and perform physical examination.
Assess, assist, diagnose and treat medical or surgical problems
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections immunizations suturing ear eye irrigation removal foreign bodies.
- Perform office surgical procedures skin biopsy mole wart removal toenail removal arthrocentesis incision drainage abscesses.
