    Our community includes guests who rely on our cars for on-demand mobility and entrepreneurial hosts (car owners) who share cars on our platform including those who operate their own carsharing businesses.

    Did you know cars are parked 22 hours a day on average? When we share cars, we don't need as many on the road, which means fewer accidents, reduced traffic, and less space required for parking.

    Carsharing modernizes mobility by allowing people to connect multiple forms of efficient transportation for any type of use case.
    Through carsharing, we aim to lessen greenhouse gasses and reduce pollution.

    Studies show that when carsharing is available, people drive less and drive vehicles more appropriate for their use case, which can reduce household carbon emissions by up to 40%.

    Also, shared cars are used more frequently and retired more quickly, accelerating the adoption of newer, more energy-efficient vehicles.

    The Opportunity:


    Getaround is looking for a dynamic, hands-on SEC Reporting Manager to lead and aid in the continued success of our Accounting and Financial Reporting team.

    You will own the entire financial reporting process. Partner with various departments on cross-functional initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and filling all SEC reports timely.

    What You'll Be Doing:
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following)


    Manage the SEC annual and quarterly 10-K / 10-Q filings process including the financial statements, footnotes and MD&A, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under U.S.

    GAAP and the SEC (including iXBRL).
    Manage complex accounting processes including revenue, equity, stock-based compensation, EPS, leases, goodwill, intangibles, consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
    Assess the impact of financial reporting information received from other functions and service providers.
    Partner with Legal and Investor Relations to prepare financial communications for earnings releases, quarterly and annual reporting.
    Stay current on technical accounting matters, assist with research on technical accounting topics and implementing new accounting standards.
    Assist with external auditors' quarterly review and annual audit processes.
    Liaise with the finance leadership team, external public accountants, attorneys and internal departments.
    Develop and implement improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting deliverables.
    Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information, data, and systems.
    Ensure that security policies and procedures are followed.

    What You'll Need:

    Education & Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
    CPA and/or advanced degrees (preferred but not required).
    Minimum 5+ years related experience.
    Public company accounting experience.
    International accounting experience.

    Skills & Abilities:
    Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
    Strong technical skills and experience in financial reporting and US GAAP accounting.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Positive attitude with a willingness to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment.
    Ability to work independently and build working relationships across global teams.
    Results driven with a high level of ownership, initiative, teamwork, accountability, and integrity.
    Must be willing to travel to the San Francisco Bay Area occasionally.

    Typical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.


    Physical Demands:
    Ability to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor, phone - for extended periods of time.
    Manual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.

    Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email, Google Meet, and Slack.

    Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, if required.
