    Responsibilities:

    Essential Functions of the Athletic Trainer Role:

    • Prescribe routine and corrective exercises to strengthen muscles
    • Render first aid to injured players such as artificial respiration, cleaning and bandaging wounds, and applying heat and cold to promote healing
    • Communicate with coaches, parents, clinical team, physician team and expanded healthcare team as needed
    • Treat chronic minor injuries and related disabilities to maintain athletes performance.
    • AT will maintain a regular schedule of hours in-clinic at one or multiple of our clinic locations.
    • Clinic duties will include assisting PT staff with patient load/patient's rehabilitation exercises and treatment, ensuring that patient sessions are started and progress in a timely manner, helping clean and maintain the clinic space and equipment, communicating with the athletic training and/or athletics staff at all nearby schools, and assisting in any additional ways that they are needed.
    • AT will provide part-time or PRN coverage for one or multiple of SporTherapy's contracted schools; amount of school coverage may fluctuate.
    • AT will regularly report to/communicate with SporTherapy's Head Athletic Trainer.
    • AT will be responsible for keeping their own schedule for both clinic hours and school coverage, and ensuring that any potential conflicts are addressed, and the appropriate people notified, as far in advance as possible.
    Qualifications:

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • Must be a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
    • Ability to distill data and metrics into actionable insights that support clear recommendations
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    • Self-motivated and independent minded
