    Job Description:


    As a Substation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing substation projects by developing electrical protection and control designs.

    We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in this field.

    This position requires a strong understanding of protection and control designs as they pertain to utility substation and transmission line equipment.

    Your responsibilities will include reading and interpreting P&C design packages, including one- and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, panel drawings, and wiring diagrams.

    Additionally, you will be responsible for relay setting and phase sequencing.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    In-depth knowledge of IEE codes and standards.
    Experience with PSEG, PEPCO, and NYPA Standards.
    Proficiency in managing projects, schedules, and budgets.
    Familiarity with cable schedules.
    Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
    AutoCAD software experience.


    Required Qualifications:
    A minimum of 5 years of protection and control experience.
    At least 3 years of substation design/engineering experience.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
    BS in Electrical Engineering.


    Work Environment:


    This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, although residing in the Lombard, IL area is preferred in case an office visit is necessary.

    While remote work is available, candidates should be prepared to go into the office as required.
