RCP Construction is a mid-sized commercial construction company located in El Dorado Hills and building projects in the Greater Sacramento Region and the SF Bay Area. We are currently seeking a Project Superintendent for the Bay Area. The Project Superintendent oversees assigned project(s) and acts as the link between various project parties. The individual in this role leads and manages the on-site construction team, and oversees all work on site. This role is responsible for orderliness on site and compliance with safety regulations. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with RCP employees, vendors, subcontractors and project owners is a critical component. The candidate selected for this role will be stationed at the jobsite location(s) in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Leading and managing the on-site construction team
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness
- Coordinating and overseeing all work on site
- Attending Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings
Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to - Producing and distributing construction look ahead schedules on a weekly basis
- Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensuring quality standards are met
- Placing orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site
- Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFI's
- Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals
This role requires:
- Experience as a Superintendent for a commercial construction General Contractor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications and other documents
Helpful but not required:
- Experience with Procore or other similar project management software
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products
