Assists the Director of the unit with organizing, directing, and supervising the operational functions within the Emergency Department.
This includes policy and procedures are followed; supplies and equipment are at sufficient levels; Possesses comprehensive knowledge of clinical care, educational requirements required by NCOEMS and performance improvement processes.
Assumes hospital emergency management/preparedness responsibilities for TJC standards.Engages in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invests in lifelong learning for staff professional development and assures employees complete required annual competencies.
Maintains own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure. Communicates important information to the Director of the unit and the CNO as needed. Staff development, evidence based clinical practice; patient quality, safety and performance improvement; and regulatory compliance.Associate's degree is required Bachelor's degree (BSN) is preferred Required License:
