    Job Summary:

    The Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky seeks to fill a tenure-eligible faculty position at the rank of Full Professor in Biological Anthropology. This is a 9-month position in the regular title series with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024. Preferred candidates will have an established research program in Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Archaeology. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience teaching Biological Anthropology courses across the undergraduate and graduate curriculum as well as a record of successful graduate advising. In particular, we seek an Anthropologist with research expertise in the application of ground-penetrating radar for detecting controlled forensic graves, taphonomy of commercial cremations, and taphonomy of skeletal remains from historic contexts. We are especially interested in candidates who have experience working with local law enforcement agencies on the search, recovery, and identification of human skeletal remains.

    A PhD in Biological Anthropology is required.Applicants must include a cover letter and CV.
