    Description


    Position at Prismatik

    Role Overview:
    • Development of precise instructions for machinists to facilitate setup procedures.
    • Analysis of job orders, drawings, and 3D CAD design blueprints to determine dimensions, tool choices, machine speeds, and feed rates.
    • Calculation of necessary values to finalize orders and key programming elements.
    • Conversion of instructions to a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
    • Collaboration with engineers regarding CAD models and blueprints.
    • Verification of program functionality through simulations and tests to ensure adherence to specifications.
    • Creation of geometric layouts using specialized software like Mastercam/esprit.
    • Establishment of operational sequences within programs.
    • Selection of appropriate cutting tools required to shape workpieces accurately.
    • Development and enhancement of programs for optimized efficiency.
    • Execution of additional tasks and projects as directed by management based on business needs.
    Qualifications and Background:
    • Completion of a technical school program, full apprenticeship, or equivalent in-company training.
    • Proficiency in 5-axis programming, CNC mills, and CNC lathes.
    • Familiarity with Mastercam and Esprit software.
    • Minimum of seven (7) years of machinist setup experience.
    Salary Range: $32.00/hour - $53.00/hour
