    • Eco-friendly waste removal services for food processors and retailers to address their responsible disposal and related ESG initiatives.
    • Direct ship post-manufactured liquid food waste as feed to commercial livestock producers.
    • Operates 5 de-packaging and drying plants that convert liquid waste into high quality feed sold to livestock producers. 101s facilities are in:
    • Pendleton, IN

    • Wilkes-Barre, PA
    • Phoenix, AZ
    • The company owns and operates 50+ semi-tractors and 150+ semi-trailers to provide end-to-end transportation from processor to producer.
    • 101s customers are food processors and retailers such as: Abbott Nutrition, Nestle, Unilever, and various livestock producers.

    Job Summary:

    As the Human Resources Manager at 101, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's HR strategies. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, including hiring and onboarding, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations and engagement, and employee training.

    Specific areas of focus will include:

    • enabling effective management of our geographically dispersed workforce
    • managing the onboarding of new employees for each of the locations
    • oversee the development of an employee training program
    • enable and guide the recruiting team to meet their goals and staff for continued growth
    • formalizing our management training programs
    • fostering company communications for each of our locations; through newsletters, social media, and digital message boards
    • organizing company-wide employee events and activities

    Key Responsibilities:

    Hiring and Onboarding

    • Develop and execute effective talent acquisition strategies to attract, assess, and retain employees at each of our locations.
    • Create and manage programs for employee retention, career development, recognition, and engagement.
    • Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our employee onboarding programs, conduct onboarding for new employees.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Oversee the management of competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate high-caliber employees.
    • Work with vendors to ensure proper administration of company benefits, assessing whether the benefits are competitive and cost-effective.
    • Manage open enrollment and communicate benefits options to employees.
    • Answer any employee benefit questions.

    Performance Management and Development

    • Establish and manage a performance management system that includes goal setting, feedback, evaluations, and development plans.
    • Work with managers to address performance issues and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
    • Manage and update employee bonus files based on performance.

    Employee Relations and Engagement

    • Serve as the point of contact for addressing employee concerns, conflicts, and HR-related matters.
    • Develop and implement programs to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
    • Create a communication strategy to inform employees of company events, milestones, business updates, etc.

    Employee Training

    • Work with department heads to ensure training programs are in place for new employees.
    • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and handbooks that reflect legal requirements and best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business success.
    • Spanish language skills are strongly preferred.

    Location:

    This position will be primarily office-based in our Pendleton, IN headquarters and only local candidates will be considered. Travel to other company locations is anticipated to be less than 5%.

    Reporting Structure:

    This is a management role which will report directly to our CFO and will manage the internal recruiting team.
