    DESCRIPTION

    Under general supervision of the Interventional Radiology Supervisor, responsible for scheduling clinic visits and interventional procedures for multiple physician and advanced practice providers in IR suites at UCSD Hillcrest and Jacobs Medical Centers and any added ancillary areas as used for department needs. Responsible and accountable for key activities associated with the Interventional Radiology scheduling systems in Epic – including Optime and Radiant modules. Serves as a liaison for external and internal clinical and patient contacts and assists with coordination of care for patients between multiple service lines. Operates a multi-line phone system and provides excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff. Responsible for screening patients over the phone and performing other related functions as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Five (5) years of related scheduling experience in a large, complex hospital setting.
    • High School diploma or GED or and equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must Possess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
    • Medical terminology training or certificate.
    • Must be customer service and detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Able to work effectively and equitably in a team environment.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Familiarity with UCSD Policies & Procedures.
    • Experience with EPIC, Op-Time OR Scheduling.
    SPECIAL CONDITIONS
    • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
    • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

    Pay Transparency Act

    Annual Full Pay Range: $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

    Hourly Equivalent: $ $32.54

    Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
