    Description

    MAIN FUNCTION:

    Coordinates and provides all aspects of clinical dietetics and nutritional care for patients of The Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital.


    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    • Assess, monitor and evaluate the nutritional status of patients receiving cancer care.
    • Identifies goals and implements a specific nutrition intervention strategy.
    • Performs in accordance with departmental polices and standards and within the American Dietetic Association guidelines.
    • Possesses competent job skills and knowledge ensuring effective care for patients.
    • Organizes and effectively performs functions of a clinical dietician in the outpatient oncology setting

    EDUCATION:

    • B.S. in Clinical Dietetics or Nutrition required. Must be a Registered Dietitian, current CT Dietitian licensure required and be a Certified Specialist in Oncologist (ASO) through the American Dietetic Association.
    • Experience working in a clinical oncology setting required.
