MAIN FUNCTION:

Coordinates and provides all aspects of clinical dietetics and nutritional care for patients of The Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Assess, monitor and evaluate the nutritional status of patients receiving cancer care.
Identifies goals and implements a specific nutrition intervention strategy.
Performs in accordance with departmental polices and standards and within the American Dietetic Association guidelines.
Possesses competent job skills and knowledge ensuring effective care for patients.
Organizes and effectively performs functions of a clinical dietician in the outpatient oncology setting

EDUCATION:

B.S. in Clinical Dietetics or Nutrition required. Must be a Registered Dietitian, current CT Dietitian licensure required and be a Certified Specialist in Oncologist (ASO) through the American Dietetic Association.
Experience working in a clinical oncology setting required.
