    Responsibilities:

    Collaborate closely with the Chief Operating Officer and their leadership team to effectively manage operations concerning the Novavax COVID vaccine, the company's proprietary MATRIX adjuvant product, and the global launch of new COVID variant vaccines, alongside innovative products like the Flu-COVID Combination vaccine (CIC). Oversee the related expansion and optimization of global capabilities across manufacturing, quality, process development, analytical development, supply chain, and regulatory affairs.

    Lead a team of finance professionals based in the US and, in conjunction with international site leadership, supervise finance teams supporting our manufacturing and operations sites in the Czech Republic and Sweden.

    Direct all manufacturing accounting activities, including standard costing and inventory accounting for clinical and commercial supply, spanning across a global network of Novavax and partner sites.

    Support the formulation of Operations' long-range plans, incorporating the financial impacts of the Company's strategies and initiatives. Take charge of the annual budget and forecast process.

    Participate in manufacturing contract negotiations and strategic discussions on network operations and long-term manufacturing strategy.

    Review monthly financials/KPI reporting related to manufacturing plants, ensuring compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Enhance management reporting and provide insightful commentary for senior leaders on trends, operational results, and growth drivers.

    Establish and maintain internal controls in line with corporate requirements and best business practices. Oversee the coordination of information for external auditors.

    Collaborate with business and IT teams to optimize SAP system functionality, enhancing transparency and operational efficiency.

    Willingness to be onsite and travel to business plants, as necessary.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA and/or MBA in Finance preferred.

    15+ years of finance experience, with at least 10 years in a corporate setting; experience at a Big 4 Audit Firm is advantageous.

    Background in global manufacturing finance and accounting, with expertise in leading standard costing and inventory close processes.

    Experience in global high-growth companies is essential, with biopharmaceutical experience being advantageous.

    Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.

    SAP experience is desirable.
