    Job Summary

    The Assistant Superintendent assists the Superintendent on the job site and assists in the daily activities of all field staff for a construction project, as well as quality control. The Assistant Superintendent assists the Superintendent in overseeing the day-to-day field operations. The Assistant Super assists in establishing and implementing safety policies and procedures, coordinating field activities, and adhering to the project schedule. This position is also responsible in assisting the Superintendent to ensure quality workmanship and project completion within budget.

    MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    Client Management

    • Adheres to and promotes all company goals and objectives.
    • Complete training program to qualify as the competent person on site for crisis management and first response to emergencies.
    • Assists Superintendent in conducting safety documentation and records.
    • Communicate effectively with the owner, architect, and engineer.
    • Assists the Superintendent in avoiding back charges.
    • Works with the Superintendent in managing job to completion with minimal punch list items.

    Team Management

    • Works with the Superintendent in implementing the quality control program.
    • Assists Superintendent in the job site set up to include signage, trailer, temporary service, etc.
    • Works with the Superintendent, General Superintendent, and the Project Manager to resolve any issues that could impact the schedule and/or budget.
    • Assists Superintendent in supervising and managing all subcontractors.
    • Manage job site clean ups and site security.
    • Works with Superintendent in maintaining material receiving inventory logs and filing and distribution of same.
    • Assist Superintendent in updating as-built kits weekly. Review and confirm subcontractor updates on a weekly basis.
    • Responsible for making sure that all subcontractor's permits, licenses, bonds and insurances are up to date and on file before they enter a job site.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Associates Degree with at least 2+ years of direct on-site management of construction projects
    • that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or Journeymen license in one of the trade disciplines
    • Read and understand schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals.
    • OSHA 30
    • Microsoft suite applications and Microsoft Project a plus.
    • Salary is commensurate of education, years of experience, and market

    TECHNICAL SKILLS

    • Demonstrate advanced proficiency by quickly adapting to new technology and readily acquiring new technical skills.
    • Proficient in all Microsoft suite applications including Word, Excel, as well as Onedrive and network locations for approved forms, and reports.
    • Moderate to Advanced skill in Procore software
