    The quality of a child's early experiences greatly influences his or her success later in life and that there is much that can be done to improve the quality of early childhood settings to optimize a child's development.

    This position will manage the Think Small Professional Development team, focused on meeting the early care and educational fields professional development needs in the 7-county metro area.

    Responsibilities include organizational management skills, contract and grant management, fiduciary responsibility, budget management, leadership development and management of the Professional Development team.


    Essential Job Functions:
    Direct Professional Development operations including the planning, coordination and delivery of professional development services.
    Manage government contract and grant

    deliverables.
    Ensure data is collected and reported to support quality improvement and

    accountability.
    Manage day-to-day operations of all contract deliverables and outcomes.
    Manage staff operations, outcomes and

    deliverables.
    Provide support and coordination for assigned

    staff.
    Support staff in job expectations, duties, goals and

    performance.

    Requirements:
    BA or BS degree in management, business or appropriate discipline
    Organizational Management skills, Financial, budget and fiduciary experience, Contract management experience
    Experience supervising a team with varying roles and responsibilities.
    Experience supporting and mentoring diverse staff members and clients
    Demonstrated cultural competence with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)

    communities.
    Working knowledge of all basic MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
    This position is moderately active with requirements to travel around metro area
    This position is Hybrid with weekly onsite requirements.
    There are occasional requirements to lift over 20 pounds
    There is frequent keyboarding, computer use and communicating via phone, email and in person
    Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle and proof of insurance is required for metro area travel
    Occasional evening or weekend meetings required, on call for evening and weekend issues.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    Wage hiring range:
    $62,000 to $72,000 annually

    Pre-tax and ROTH 401k with 5% employer match.

    23 days of sick/vacation time earned the first year PLUS 8 scheduled holidays and 5 floating holidays for those whose needs don't conform to the federal holiday calendar.

    This position is a hybrid position and will be required to be in-office two days per week.
