    Description

    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, or a directly related field, plus three years of epidemiological work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience provided that the minimum degree requirement is met.

    Selection Criteria


    This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a written exercise and/or a skills assessment test as part of the interview.

    The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected

    Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:


    • Master's Degree in Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, or a directly related field.
    • Proficiency using SAS statistical/analytical software package and data processing and analysis of complex, relational databases, and XML files.
    • Experience in data analysis and management to assist in the preparation of statistical reports by producing and describing summary tables, charts, and graphs.
    • Experience in cleaning, matching, and merging records between large datasets.
    • Experience conducting epidemiological research
    • Previous work experience related to HIV/STI, Viral Hepatitis and Mpox
    • Experience in research methods and techniques used in conducting public health studies.
    • Previous experience with public health care trends, issues, programs, and services, treatments, standards, and procedures
    • Knowledge of infectious disease epidemiology is plus.
    • Skills:
    • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports;
    • Ability to perform public speaking
    • Must perform duties independently but confer with the supervisor when complex scenarios are present.
    • Ability to support grant proposals, grant narratives, and workplan.
    • Ability to work effectively with a personal computer and learn new software tools.
