    Some of what you'll be doing:

    As a Senior Manager, Aviation Finance & Budget, you will be responsible for defining and directing the work of the Aviation Finance & Budget department (AVFB) staff.

    • You will lead, supervise, and coach direct reports and ensure staff has necessary training and resources to perform their work.
    • You will direct the work of the Aeronautical finance team and set priorities and assign resources to accomplish team deliverables.
    • You will establish policies and methodologies for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and reconciling results to ensure the integrity of the financial management.
    • You will design and implement continuous process improvement efforts to efficiently deliver timely and accurate financial information to internal and external customers.
    • You will create strong business partnerships with senior management and directors by consistently delivering high quality financial services and by anticipating new business requirements in response to changes in the business environment.
    • You will manage the Aviation's division financial reporting process and PowerPoint presentations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and provide visibility to trends and emerging issues to Aviation leadership, department directors, and external customers.
    • You will provide operating budget oversight for the Aviation division and advise and collaborate with department directors and Aviation leadership on budgetary issues including staffing requests, revenue and expenses projects, and available budget capacity.
    • You will manage the Aviation division Central Services budget process and perform variance analysis and forecasting.
    • You will be responsible for monitoring expenditures and costs allocated to the airport from other divisions to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) revenue use guidelines.
    • You will lead and oversee the budget development of revenues and expenses for the Aeronautical Business Units (Terminal, Airfield, Cargo, Maintenance, Utilities, and Facility Infrastructure).
    • You will provide oversight of Signatory Lease Operating Agreement (SLOA) rates model and annual airline settlement. You will oversee the annual Rates & Charges development process.
    • You will provide oversight of the FAA 127 reporting and annual Airport Council International (ACI) financial survey.
    • You will assist in the system implementation of various software tools utilized by the AVFB team to perform financial oversight function.

    Who you are:

    • Experienced - You have seven (7) years of experience in the management of budget, finance, and accounting functions within a large organization. You also have at least three (3) years of supervisory experience managing people and developing staff.
    • Educated - You possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Desired - We hope you have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. We hope you have three (3) years of experience working in a public sector and at an airport in a finance or accounting role.

    What else you need to know:

    • Work Schedule - Your normal work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role.
    • Work Environment - This work will take place in a hybrid remote/in-office setting at Management's discretion.
    • Grade Review - The pay range and grade for non-represented positions are under review and subject to change as part of the Port's work to implement a new pay program. This review is intended to ensure that positions are aligned with the new program that will be implemented in early 2024.
    • Washington State Residency Requirement - Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
    • Overtime Eligible - You are not eligible for overtime pay in this role.
    • Safety Requirements - You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
    • Security Requirements - As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
