    Join Our Team as a Locum Physician Gastroenterology in Mechanicsville, VA


    We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Locum Physician specializing in Gastroenterology to provide essential inpatient and outpatient coverage at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center.

    Required Skills:
    Valid medical license to practice in Virginia
    Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
    Proven experience with outpatient Gastroenterology procedures and hospital-based care
    Proficiency in endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and liver biopsy
    Ability to interpret esophageal manometry and perform esophageal dilatation
    Knowledge of EMR systems, specifically Epic
    Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment


    Nice to Have Skills:
    Experience with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
    Additional training in advanced GI procedures
    Prior hospital call coverage experience
    Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient management of GI cases


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
    Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship
    Active medical license in Virginia
    Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Gastroenterology or similar setting


    Other Requirements:
    Availability for scheduled coverage on specific dates listed, with immediate need for some dates
    Willingness to work 24-hour call shifts, including holidays
    Travel and lodging reimbursement (up to $150/night)
    Credentialing estimated to be completed within 90 days
