    University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College at North Little Rock is an integral part of the Arkansas Technical and Community College System maintained by the State of Arkansas.

    The college is governed by the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees and a seven-member Board of Visitors and derives its support largely from student tuition and fees and legislative appropriations.


    UA - Pulaski Tech, a comprehensive two-year college, offers associate degree and certificate programs for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and/or for career preparation and advancement.

    Summary of Job Duties:


    The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a full-time, 11-month position as an Instructor of Nursing.

    The Instructor of Nursing will be responsible for teaching students in both classroom and clinical settings.

    This position requires a commitment to teaching in a dynamic community college setting and the ability to successfully interact and respond to the broad ranging needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus setting.


    General Responsibilities:

    • Contributes to the decision-making on policies and problem solving;
    • Participates in communication between all constituents/affiliates, both internal and external;
    • Active, unencumbered registered nursing license for the state of Arkansas;
    • Must be able to teach theory or clinical in either morning, evening, or weekend schedules;
    • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills;
    • Microsoft Office proficiency;
    • Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently toward course objectives; and
    • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
    • Classroom management, ordering textbooks and classroom supplies


    Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a demonstrated commitment to student success with a student-centered approach to education, a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and effectiveness, an understanding and appreciation of an applied approach to the study of the discipline, and a willingness to follow the approved departmental curriculum established by the departmental faculty and dean.

    Candidate must have a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and effectiveness, student-centered approach to education, and a commitment to student development in and outside of the classroom.

    Candidate must also have the ability to communicate and work effectively with students, college faculty and staff, and the community.



    Qualifications:

    Minimum

    Qualifications:


    • Associate's Degree in Nursing (RN);
    * (2) Two years of nursing experience.

    Preferred

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing;
    * (1) one year of nursing education experience.
