The Director Single Billing Office SBO is responsible for strategic leadership operational management performance outcomes centralized patient guarantor billing functions This position oversees certain tasks post-service revenue cycle including payment posting daily cash reconciliation remittance posting backend payments customer service self-pay accounts receivable bad debt management financial assistance program administration patient statement processing mail document operations
- Leadership & Strategic Planning Develop implement strategic plans goals objectives SBO alignment organizational revenue cycle patient experience initiatives
- Payment Posting & Daily Cash Reconciliation Oversee timely accurate posting all patient payer payments electronic remittance advice EOA paper EOB processing Direct daily cash reconciliation processes partnership Finance ensuring variances identified resolved promptly
- SBO Operations Direct all operations Epic SBO module ensuring accurate efficient compliant execution guarantor self-pay billing payment processes Monitor work queues productivity metrics performance dashboards ensure timeliness accuracy account resolution Collaborate with Epic analysts IT implement system enhancements troubleshoot issues optimize automation capabilities Serve subject matter expert during Epic upgrades workflow redesigns ensure minimal disruption operations Customer Service Patient Interaction Oversee SBOS patient financial services call center prompt courteous accurate resolution patient inquiries processing financial assistance applications establishing payment plans Manage Epic MyChart InBasket functions responding patent messages verifying insurance coverage processing insurance submissions updating account information Establish quality assurance measures improve first-contact resolution rates repeat inquiries Engage directly escalated high-profile patent
