Are you a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with trauma and critical care experience? A Level II Trauma Center near McCloud, CA, is seeking locum tenens coverage to support its busy trauma service team


Position Highlights Shifts:
PM shift (3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.), with availability for select dates in December, January, and February. Weekend shifts may be included in the schedule.


Responsibilities:
Manage trauma patients in collaboration with the on-call trauma surgeon. Perform both low/moderate risk and high-risk procedures, such as: Laceration repair, IV insertion, and fracture reductions. G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, chest tubes, and central/arterial line placement. Oversee ICU patients daily) and assist with discharges. Provide care to pediatric trauma patients (low volume but experience required).


Support Staff:
Collaborate with another Trauma NP/PA working the day shift (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and the trauma surgeon on call.


Requirements Certifications:
ACLS, ATLS, DEA (required during credentialing). NCCPA or ANCC certification required.


Licensure:
Active California license, with NP furnishing number if applicable. Completion of the California Controlled Substance Education Course for PAs.


Experience:
Must have trauma/critical care experience and be qualified to manage pediatric trauma patients


Other Requirements:
Clean malpractice and background preferred. Experience at a TJC-accredited hospital required. Additional Details Orientation is paid at half the hourly rate after 8 hours. Credentialing is estimated to take approximately 30 days. Local candidates preferred (no flight accommodations provided).
