- Maintain a well-running truck and trailer while in possession and after trips, including servicing as needed
- Ensure equipment is properly loaded, weight distributed, secured, and protected for transportation
- Drive and/or operate the vehicle to and from the jobsite in a safe and responsible manner
- Monthly fill plan in coordination with Assistant Manager/FM Planner
- Determine units that require filling based on:
- Previous fill dates and App/Remote monitoring reports/ Bulk Fill Report
- Anticipated material usage based on axle/setting spreadsheet
- Determine the amount of required material and communicate requirements with Assistant Manager /planner. Essentially provide a request of what you need by when and where
- Anticipate time and desired location of delivery
- Driver shall take in account lead-time for material availability and anticipate time at desired location. For example: If a driver is going to be at a location in 30 days, know how long it will take for the warehouse to get the material to location
- Driver shall plan and communicate time off with manager. Driver shall take into consideration of scheduling of routes based on any desired and planned time off
- Perform DOT inspections per regulations
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date DOT logbook per regulations
- Secure required special permits as needed
- Any material ordered and received is listed as assigned inventory on that truck. The driver will keep log of all material used
- Service top of rail and gauge face lubricator units to specified guidelines
- Perform lubrication service program for railroad customers
- Uses logic and methods to solve problems to find effective solutions
- Understand and adhere to general railroad and Loram operating rules
- Manage inventory held on maintenance vehicle through company processes
- Plans work based on length and task difficulty, develops schedules, and anticipates and adjusts for problems to meet objectives
- Able to work independently
- Process work orders and complete all necessary delivery tickets, warranty paperwork, and returns through approved company processes
- Maintain communication with Manager and FM Service Technicians to ensure on time material deliveries, timely completion FM service work; both scheduled and unscheduled.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Service Tech/ CDL Driver, a field based position, is responsible for driving a variety of vehicles for the transport of Company equipment. The primary focus is to plan and execute a safe and efficient Bulk fill cycle for both GF and TOR units on various Friction Management customers. The primary responsibilities include truck maintenance, Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance (including accurate logbooks) and assisting in the service and maintenance of Railroad rail lubrication (Wayside and Hi-Rail) equipment based on the customers' requirements Plan and execute a safe and efficient Bulk fill cycle for both GF and TOR units on various Friction Management customers
