    Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist

    Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Bilingual Speech Language Pathologists for full-time positions within school districts located in the Blue Island, IL area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all local and state requirements to join our team and provide exceptional speech and language services to students.

    Requirements:

    • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license.
    • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech Language Pathology endorsement.
    • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) required.
    • Proven experience in evaluating and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in a school setting.
    • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders, with a focus on bilingual students.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the specific needs of each student.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings, ensuring culturally and linguistically appropriate interventions.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
    • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
    • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to discuss student progress and develop goals.
    • Educate and support parents, teachers, and other stakeholders on strategies to support students' communication skills.
