Job description
The Painter is responsible for performing a variety of painting and general maintenance tasks for both interior and exterior projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently or within a team, and the capacity to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Quality customer service skills and flexibility to meet client needs are essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform extensive exterior and interior painting projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Patch and paint walls with chips or scrapes, ensuring smooth finishes.
- Take direction from supervisors or managers and complete tasks independently.
- Provide general handyman services, particularly in carpentry, as needed.
- Perform additional work or ad hoc projects per client requests.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of work areas.
- Attend weekly meetings with the facility manager to review various projects.
- Ensure high standards of work quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Interactions:
- Collaborate with engineering team and other employees.
- Engage with leaders and stakeholders.
- Communicate with customers, visitors, and clients.
Requirements (Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Education and/or Experience):
- Three to five years of related painting and general maintenance experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in all situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
- Ability to perform additional general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, as required.
- Capacity to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
- Attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work in various physical positions, including standing, sitting, walking, bending and repetitive movement.
