    Description

    Site Reliability Engineer

    Medline Industries is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer Lead to join our Software Engineering organization, helping to modernize Medline systems using modern architecture and technologies to improve efficiency, productivity, and availability. Site Reliability Engineering Lead will help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions for operational enhancements. This role focuses on support and software development for implementing/configuring monitoring tools and techniques, optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and reducing work through automation.

    Education

    BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.

    Experience Required

    · At least 8 years of experience in Software engineering environments with cloud and microservices.

    Skills and Abilities

    · Good verbal and communication skills.

    · Demonstrate strong experience in SRE culture and implementation techniques.

    · 3-5 years of experience in software development with any programming language.

    · Experience in automation scripting and containerization tools.

    · Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.

    · Expert practitioner in one or more technology domains, should be a cross-domain expert, with the ability to solve complex and mission-critical problems within a business or across multiple business units.

    · Familiarity with infrastructure components such as routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks.

    · Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills.

    Preferred certification areas: Azure Solution Architect Associate, any industry-recognized Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps certifications.
