- The Nurse Intern plays a vital role in the patient care team, assisting with direct patient care and support services under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Responsibilities include providing bedside care, performing nursing procedures, transporting patients, stocking supplies, maintaining equipment, and documenting care and procedures.
- Ability to care for patients with different illness levels under RN supervision.
- May perform blood sugar assessments and EKGs with competency documentation.
- Continued enrollment in an RN or LPN program required for role retention.
- Successful completion of nursing fundamentals in either an Associate or Baccalaureate Degree Nursing Program or an LPN program.
- Maintain an active status in the nursing program with progression towards completion.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 required.
- AHA BLS Certification mandatory.
