We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer / Land Development for our Charlotte, NC office.

This position is available to an experienced engineer or a project manager with the drive and desire to make an impact in the Charlotte Community.

The individual will be responsible for leading design, planning, and scheduling.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, mentorship, and design assistance to engineering staff for civil engineering and land development related projects.

DutiesDevelopment of detailed site and grading plans, and erosion and sediment control plansStorm water management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design, and construction detailing and specificationsPreparation of inventory assessments, analyses, and reportsAssist with business development in the Charlotte, NC regionEngage in public outreach, business development, marketing, and client communicationManage preliminary and final design and construction phase services for multiple projectsComplete civil and site research, report preparation, and technical specificationsResponsible for design, specifications, plans, maps, project schedule, and budgetsReview for quality assurance and control and ensure compliance with LaBella's quality standardsParticipate in and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and clientsReview and interpretation of local codes from various jurisdictions to determine regulatory requirements for site development

RequirementsB.S. degree in civil engineeringMinimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in the civil engineering fieldLicensed professional engineer in North Carolina required or ability to obtain within 3 months of hireBusiness development experience and network of clients preferredExcellent verbal and written communications and analytical/problem solving skills are essential

Skills and Abilities:
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and proficiency with Microsoft OfficeProject management experience a plus, but we will trainPossess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a wide variety of projectsExcellent verbal and written communications and analytical/problem solving skills are essentialMust be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agenciesPlanning, organizing, scheduling and project management experience
