    Position Summary
    The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Memphis
    ) is one of the leading academic and clinical programs in the country.
    This program is located in a state-of-the-art facility, with significant space for expansion of new
    and existing programs, in a community with growing opportunities for interprofessional
    practice with a diverse base of students and patients. We are able to offer the full scope of
    audiology services to our patients including vestibular assessment, auditory rehabilitation,
    auditory processing testing, and cochlear implant services. The cochlear implant program is
    growing especially rapidly and is in need of an audiologist to provide care to our patients.
    This 12-month, non-tenure track position is ideal for a strong, innovative clinician whose focus
    area is in cochlear implants and who will provide clinical education in an academic setting.
    Applicants are expected to collaborate on research and service with clinical and academic
    faculty. This candidate is expected to be involved in the growth of the adult implant program
    and instrumental in the development of the pediatric implant program. Applicants with
    interests in audiologic (re)habilitation and interprofessional practice and/or public health
    initiatives are encouraged to apply. The candidate should have an AuD or PhD in a related area.
    The applicant must have ASHA certification and be eligible for TN state licensure. Those with
    previous teaching experience – either clinical or traditional didactics – are strongly encouraged
    to apply.

    Minimum Position Qualifications
    Doctoral degree (AuD or PhD)
    CCC-A
    Eligible for Tennessee state licensure (audiology with hearing aid dispensing)
    Experience supervising students is desirable
