Patient Logistic Center Dispatch Coordinator - Tamarac

We care for our community Just last year HCA Healthcare and our colleagues donated $13.8 million dollars to charitable organizations.Responsible for receiving evaluating and coordinating ambulance transport requests This role requires quick decision making and strong communication skills to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate medical transportation Ability to multi-task and handle stressful situations including operations during weather events Coordination of internal emergency and non-emergency transportation requests prioritization of resources monitoring the status of ambulance resources maintains related documentation provides hospitals with updates ensures compliance supports crews arranges emergency medical services third party ambulance resources as needed Facilitates transport arrangements that match the patient s clinical needs Functions as both the Lead Dispatcher CDT agent when delegated as such Provides administration of all aspects of the TCC department in order to ensure organizational mission objectives are met Assists in hiring maintaining appropriate staffing levels utilization personnel insure highest quality professional skill Works closely with Assistant Nurse Manager Manager Operations collect correlate analyze interpret operational data better support staffing PLC needs Performs all transfer center functions centralized patient placement customer centered professional manner aid computer database consisting facility service profiles approved clinical protocols established patient care protocols healthcare information Transports coordination specific transfer patients discharges from HCA facilities Coordinates transfer emergent urgent elective patients final destination facility from potential referral sources include but not limited hospitals clinics post-acute centers physician offices through telephone call initiate acceptance expedite decision making relative potential transfer Follows specific protocols policies procedures utilize established resources safely place patients facilities Works collaboratively team members ensuring appropriate patient transportation Establishes maintains high degree awareness knowledge hospitals medical staff services special programs Exhibits models exceptional customer relationship behaviors telephone personal contact call center customer groups physicians office staff callers fellow employees Maintains professionalism customer-centric communication challenging callers Ensures patient placement functions timely bed placement appropriate bed assignment provide accurate patient information assist initial plan care Ensures accurate concurrent data collection maintenance both patient record center workflow systems Shows proficiency navigating documenting multiple technology platforms other call office-oriented systems needed Experience Minimum years clinical hospital experience required highly preferred ED acute hospital experience Supervisory Experience Preferred Call Center Transfer Center experience Preferred EMS Dispatch Experience Required EDUCATION Associate Degree higher preferred Certification/Licensure EMT Emergency Medical Technician Certificate EMD Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certificate Required or approved equivalent
